I had a lot of fun making this site for new Dublin eatery, The Bakehouse. Chris and Jo gave me free reign to do what I wanted so I experimented with great imagery from Conor McCabe, HTML5 and jQuery. The coddle is terrific!

Blurb Photobook – Australia

I recently completed my second photobook from my travels. This book is taken from Australia and again we were really happy with the quality of both the Blurb software and the final product. It arrived a couple of days ago and sits happily on the shelf beside our Asia book.

Alot of the book is taken up with images from Melbourne as we spent 6 months living and working there followed by further travels through WA, Victoria, Tasmania, the Red centre and the East Coast finishing up in Sydney for New Years.

We’ve been slow to get this book finished since getting home as finding work and somewhere to live have had priority but now we’re settled hopefully we won’t be as long with the South America book(s?).

Nike – Write the Future

Nike’s theme for the World Cup seems to be ‘Write the Future’. I first saw this a couple of months ago on billboards in Buenos Aires. They had the tagline ‘Escribamos Historia‘ in reference to their 1986 World Cup win.

This morning I saw a whirlwind of links on twitter for the latest TV ad featuring Rooney, Cannavaro, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Homer Simpson, Kobe Bryant, Gael García Bernal and many more. The short film is directed by Mexican director Alejandro Inarritu and is a 3 minute epic. Sit back and enjoy!

Bizcamp Dublin

I’m looking forward to the Bizcamp Dublin event taking place on Saturday the 29th of May. It’s all happening at the Digital Hub and should be a chance to meet some interesting people. It’s pretty much free (There’s a token €5 fee for lunch) but is still a ticket only event so if you’re interested and havn’t picked one up i’d do so asap.

I’ve just recently embarked on the freelance road since returning to Ireland so i’ll be interested in speaking to people who’ve been there and done that and also hope to meet others in the same boat and maybe bounce some ideas.

There’s already some interesting talks lined up with the full list being revealed closer to the date. If you’re going along be sure to say hi!
